News - Luna7 Present Abarat (And Then Some)

...From the days of Zehrapushu Inc. right through to the present day with Luna7, Hans Rueffert has been responsible for presenting high quality reproductions of some of Barker's most striking artwork (such as The Parisian, The Diver, and The Freudian) as well as creating the late-lamented Imajica card game. Lately, he has had key involvement with the latest Imajica book re-release, creating its new appendix and featuring the work of Richard Kirk. In an attempt to appease the huge worldwide demand for the Abarat artwork (only a handful have recently been released for sale), Hans has now collaborated with Clive in the production of a series of high-quality limited and signed prints on canvas of a number of the Abarat paintings. A growing number of Abarat giclées are now available through Luna7 with some being exclusively marketed through Storyopolis, Bad Moon Books and Every Picture Tells A Story... Bert Green Fine Art have made available a further three Luna7 giclées of pieces in their recent Visions of Heaven and Hell (And Then Some) exhibition. The edition will be limited to only 24, and the astounding success of the exhibition will surely make these highly sought-after... Dark Delicacies have a few remaining copies of Green Bat Boy, created for their recent Mister B. Gone signing. Luna7 have announced a new convention special giclée for April 2008's Fangoria Weekend of Horrors. 50 numbered giclées of Mother Teresa In Space will be available from the Bad Moon Books booth at the convention which runs from 25 - 27 April. Clive will be attending the convention and all 50 giclées will be signed by him... "I'm amazingly excited because I think the level of the work, the level of the reproduction is extraordinary and the sophistication of it is extraordinary. And I feel, I think people are going to have a great time with these pictures because I think we're going to be able to price them at a reasonable rate.They'll be signed, so there will be the sense that at least I've cast my eye over them to be sure that they are as good a reproduction as we can possibly make. And when Hans took one of the reproductions down to Storyopolis - which does carry limited edition reproductions on its wall, I mean it has a wonderful gallery of them - they said it was the best reproduction they'd ever seen. So Hans was like a dog with two tails, as well he might have been! "It is going to be, I think, a wonderful project and it's going to go on for years - he really does want to make all the major Abarat paintings, and that's a lot of paintings, available to people in the next ten years."
